Airports - Ground Staff

Qantas Ground Services (QGS) is a newly created entity under Qantas Airways. It has been established to provide ground handling services, transport and support to Qantas Airport Services when required.

Working alongside Qantas crew and passengers, your new position as a Bus Driver, will see you being responsible for the safe and on time transportation of Qantas crew, passengers and clients.

You will be responsible for:

On time transportation of Qantas Flight and Cabin Crew to and from Sydney Domestic and International airports
Seamless transfer of passengers between Domestic and International terminals
Shuttle services in and around our Qantas campus
Meeting and Greeting all of our travelling staff and passengers
Assisting with Baggage when required

Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a current State drivers licence and a medium (MR) licence or above
Previous experience in bus or coach driving
Demonstrate unwavering commitment to Customer Service
Understand critical priorities for the safe transportation of our passengers and crew
Be able to obtain and retain an airside driver's licence
Be able to work a 7 day rotating roster as required covering 0300 to Midnight
Physically have the capacity to undertake manual handling requirements such as pushing, pulling and lifting up to 32kgs
Enjoy both working alone and as part of a team
Demonstrate organisational skills with an ability to meet strict deadlines
Demonstrate a high standard of personal presentation and professional behaviour
Be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)


You must be available for the following if successful through the various recruitment steps:

Attend a 3hr assessment centre.
Undertake a bus driving test

The recruitment process will also require you to pass:

Medical Check including health & fitness and Alcohol and Other Drugs test
Security / Background Check including Federal Police Check.
An independent driver evaluation assessment
