Job Summary: Responsibilities include maintaining optimal quantities of parts, units, and supplies to support assigned maintenance shops and/or aircraft or general supplies systems. Ethically maintain the minimum inventory necessary to meet Materiel Management's service objectives to Maintenance. Objectives include job stops, maintenance carry-overs, delays/cancellations, and backorders. The position is generally assigned those systems containing the highest level of scope and responsibility within Materiel Management. All provisioning activities will be based on economic formulas and established procedures. Assist in training of new analysts and assist current analysts. Maintains a proper working environment and handles special projects, as assigned. Supervisory duties as required and directed by the manager. Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment that results in employee safety and well being.
Requirements:
Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in management, finance, procurement, or a related field highly preferred. APICS certification desired. Knowledge of Delta standard practices related to materiel control preferred. Should have an understanding of basic financial concepts and Delta accounting systems; the ability to use technical manuals, catalogs, and drawings; familiarity with ATA systems and their applications; and familiarity with inventory control systems or have the technical aptitude to learn them quickly. Should have strong verbal and written communications skills, typing and computer skills, and leadership skills. Project management experience desired. Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
