Worldwide Marketing Communications is seeking a leader who has social media promotional experience with large brands (Coca-Cola, Starwood, TED, and Starbucks). This individual will build strategy and create social promotions to support Delta's routes, products, services, and strategic partners. The role will build digital social content that will drive millions of views on Delta's social media channels as well as work closely with Corporate Communications and PR agencies for earned media impressions. The position will work directly with creative agencies and internal departments to create and manage all aspects of social promotions within Delta's social media channels with over 5M current followers.

The position is located in the Atlanta headquarters and requires occasional travel.

Primary Functions
Leads the overall strategy, creation, execution, management, paid support, and analytics of large social promotions throughout the year that will support Delta's social audience growth world-wide.
Support primary functions for all social channels including content publishing and building community engagement.
Develop highly effective cross-divisional relationships with key corporate groups and leaders in Revenue Management, International Business Units, Sales, Legal, Corporate Communications, Government Affairs, Airport Customer Service, IFS, Marketing, Loyalty, Reservations, Technology and E-Commerce.
Demonstrate standard project management methodologies such as risk management, cost control and project planning.

Requirements:

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or Communications. MBA/Master's degree preferred.
Successful candidates must possess 3 or more years of marketing experience in a combination of Advertising, Media planning/buying, Relationship Marketing, Brand Management, and/or Promotional & Sponsorship Marketing.
Corporate cross divisional experience strongly preferred, particularly in Revenue Management, Marketing, Loyalty, Legal, and Corporate Communications.
Experienced thought leader with a history of excellence.
Committed problem solver who leverages analytics, creativity and innovation.
Excellent interpersonal and business decision making skills are required.
Must be able to manage change with resilience and display tremendous drive and commitment.
Candidate must possess strong skills in written and verbal communications, negotiation, time management, organizational, planning, and presentation.
Must demonstrate leadership capabilities and have the ability to disseminate information professionally according to Delta values.
Candidate must be available to work additional hours and/or days as needed.
Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) as well as so a strong understanding of social media applications (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Tumblr, and Pinterest).
Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision but also work well in a team environment.
Candidate should possess an overall knowledge of company procedures and policies.
