About the Job

Air Arabia is looking for highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail to join its Safety Department. The selected individual will conduct investigations of safety related events that occur during airline operations, track and trend relevant flight safety events and track recommendations/corrective actions resulting from safety investigations.



Key Accountabilities:

The Safety Investigator / Risk Assessor is responsible for conducting detailed investigations of accidents, incidents, significant events, and other safety issues such as those derived through trend analysis. This includes the collection of flight data and other information in support of event investigation procedures, preparing investigation reports that include the facts, analysis, conclusions / recommendations associated with an event as well as the research of regulatory issues pertaining to the particular event

The job holder is responsible for the collection of safety event data and analysis of flight safety data. H/She will raise general awareness and facilitate the application of corrective action to mitigate risks within the operation.

The job holder will research the latest technologies in investigation and human factors (HFACS) to ensure that the investigations are carried out in accordance with best industry practices. He/she notifies the Safety Manager and key management personnel of significant events and provides reports on flight safety trends identified by data collection efforts. He /she is required to assist in the coordination of corrective actions with operating departments and facilitate Operational Risk Management techniques within the organization to mitigate identified risks

The selected individual must be analytical, have a keen eye for detail and must be PC literate with an ability to work under pressure in a highly demanding work environment.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role with the Safety department of an established airline
Formal training in safety / accident investigation and in-depth knowledge of Airline operations.
Must be able to work independently with a diverse and multicultural team
PC Literate and well versed in MS Office Suite / Google office applications
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, Arabic would be an advantage
