This position will lead Corporate Real Estate's efforts to plan, design and implement airport product enhancements from curb to gate. In close collaboration with Airport Customer Service and Marketing, develops and implements innovative solutions for Delta's customers that drive higher levels of satisfaction, revenue and improve operational efficiency. Responsibilities include planning, concept and detailed design, design and construction services management and contract execution. Communicates in writing, verbally, and using drawings, graphics and renderings for and with all levels of Delta people from executives to entry level employees. Coordinates and manages real estate professionals, architects, engineers, program managers, construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to complete projects. Performs a variety of oversight roles, including budgeting, master planning, defining, communicating and implementing corporate standards. Prepares budgets, defines scope of work, writes RFPs, sources and selects most qualified contractors to execute projects and prepares project schedules, reports, timelines, briefings, business cases, and funding requests. Delivers project work on-time and on-budget, considers both customer comfort and employee safety at all times. Works collaboratively with peers to influence airport planning and capital improvements by defining Delta facility requirements and standards. This position will also lead efforts to implement a digital management system for design documents and construction as-builts. Extensive travel as required to implement projects, principally in the domestic US with limited international. Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Planning or Engineering, a Masters degree and Professional Licensure preferred. Five to eight years professional work experience in project management and design of customer-focused spaces. Strong preference for experience in service industries such as major airlines, hospitality, gaming, entertainment or retail. Must possess keen planning and design abilities, proven project management, organizational, decision making, and administrative skills. Must be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and with a high level of accuracy. Must be proficient in use of software including AutoCAD, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and MS Project. Revit and BIM experience a plus. Must possess excellent graphical, written and verbal communication skills. Should possess strong financial, analytical and communication skills. Should have overall knowledge of company procedures and policies. Must be able to work in a fast paced, team-focused environment with minimal supervision. Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
