Reporting to the Manager Insights & Analytics – Red Planet, the role of Data Insights Manager is intended to bring digital media and analytics expertise and thought leadership in use of customer analytics in the digital media arena.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery of strategy, planning, optimisation and reporting across all Digital campaigns including eDM, Display, Social, Video, Mobile and other marketing channels
Interrogate and data mine various corporate data sources to extract customer intelligence that can drive improvements in media placement for Qantas and its partnersLead and develop innovative modelling techniques for complex problems
Combine customer behavioural intelligence with Market Research findings to deliver in-depth, expert analysis
Develop, enhance and further develop a customer dashboard of customer insights
Manage engagement with key stakeholders across the business, effectively managing strategic projects which will enrich the understanding of member behaviour and enable enhanced media placement
Design and lead the development of media effectiveness reporting tools
Engage, lead and educate end users on the tools and insights which have been developed and how they can be utilised to drive value to the business
Interpret complex information and develop insights/recommendations for presentation to Senior Management and clients
Develop automated tools to be able to respond rapidly to repeated requests.

Requirements:

Key Requirements:

Tertiary qualifications in applied statistics or a related analytical field
Experience in extracting and manipulating large volume data with SQL
In-depth knowledge of statistical modelling tools such as SAS/SPSS Clementine
Experience in applying statistical modelling techniques in a commercial environment
Experience in building strategic segmentations
Experience in airline, retail, telco and/or financial services advantageous
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Capable of managing and prioritising a number of competing tasks
Strategic thinking and planning skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
Strong influencing skills with the ability to effectively liaise at all levels within Qantas.
