Job Purpose
Sell and promote all principal airline products / services for which Dnata Cargo Partners has GSA partnerships.
Provide a comprehensive sales support and information brokerage service to cargo agents with regards to freight rates, flight details, bookings, inter-line connections, governmental regulations etc.
Job Outline
Prospect for new revenue opportunities by achieving an appropriate number of outgoing calls based on set targets. Follow up on identified sales leads and maintain existing accounts through building relationships with key decision makers and by providing a prompt and professional service.
Assist the sales team:
In verifying lead information within given timeframes,
Wherever required, obtain timely information from the airline as regards rates, airline schedules, capacity, space availability etc so as to offer a timely and qualitative solution to the customer
In feeding back local market intelligence, including competitor activity to sales,
In identifying trends in customer inquiries and reporting of the same to the Cargo Sales Manager / sales team
Maintain updated records on stock holding agents (those holding AWBs), stock utilization and balances,
Maintain an installed database in Tele-magic, updating with customer profiles and feedback,
The job holder will regularly update himself with all details of the airline products being marketed, and ensure a smooth and ongoing relationship with the principal airlines.
Pro-actively canvas for airway bill execution at Cargo Partners, thereby maximizing of revenue opportunities by selling of higher profit services.
Ensure that in those cases where pre-flight customer inquiries are passed on to the relevant Dnata cargo sections or to the airline for feedback, that the reverts are promptly received and passed on to the customer.
Under guidance from the sales team, send out broadcast messages to all customers, briefing them of changes to any of the freight products. Also assist the sales team during promotional events, market surveys etc.
Prepare certain job based activity reports on an ongoing basis, viz number of outgoing calls, their outcome for purposes of follow-up and a list of lost opportunities (the latter being for purposes of taking timely and suitable remedial action
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
Logistics/Cargo.Other : 3+ Years
10 Years schooling or equivalent
Cargo experience (at least a year being in a customer service role) with an international Airline, ground handling agent at a large international airport, International Integrator, Express services company or International Freight forwarder and Logistics Provider.
Besides the above, knowledge of dangerous goods acceptance and handling procedures, special load handling, cargo rating and computerized cargo reservation and management systems would be an added advantage.
The job holder would be required to possess a good command over English, and preferably knowledge of additional languages: Arabic, Farsi and Hindi / Urdu.
Computer literate, with knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
