Thank you for inquiring about the opportunity to join our team as an Analyst- Operations and Planning.

Responsible for the collection and analysis of flight attendant staffing and operational performance and pay data. Provides analytical support to the In-Flight Service business unit for all initiatives with staffing, manpower, creation and the award of monthly schedules and the overall operational implications. Responsible for defining, tracking and analyzing flight attendant performance metrics. Responsible for identifying, analyzing and implementing cost reduction and revenue enhancement strategies and initiatives related to flight attendant staffing and operational performance. Responsible for calculating and processing payment for various "ad hoc" pay items. Uses all IFS planning systems to run tests and simulations in order to make strategic recommendations based upon the demands of current and future network schedules. Responsible for creating ad hoc reports and maintaining In-Flight Service performance reporting based on the award of monthly schedules and future forecasts. Works closely with all areas and levels of In-Flight Service including front line people in order to balance flight attendant quality of life, customer service needs, financial productivity and operational performance. Works closely with operational groups, IT, corporate support areas and outside vendors to build and implement new functionality and enhancements of existing systems. Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Requirements:

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Operations Research or equivalent work experience is required. Masters or other advanced degree is a plus. Requires strong analytical, organizational and communications skills. Must be a self starter and be able to work with minimal instruction or supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and, BRIO/Hyperion required, DBMS and OSS is required. Expert knowledge of Unix, Visual Basic and MS Access is preferred. Knowledge of crew scheduling processes, systems and work rules is a plus. Must possess ability to present complex information in a concise manner to senior leadership. Must be detail oriented and possess excellent analytical and organizational skills. Requires strong analytical, organizational and communications skills. Some, but limited, travel required. Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
