Responsibilities:

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

Designs, develops, and maintains web content on existing Southwest Airlines internet sites based on project assignment brief from business stakeholders.
Works closely with Project Managers to monitor, schedule and publish content accurately according to a content calendar.
Designs content for promotional and transactional Customer e-mail communications
Demonstrates the ability to translate strategic initiatives into creative execution that meet business requirements and align with digital brand style guide
Ensures digital communication consistency through visual design by adhering to and applying Southwest style guidelines
Contributes to creative idea concepting to support communication initiatives in digital channels.
Applies technical skills to develop and support functionality enhancements within Southwest digital channels
Communicates best practices for creative design, development, and content management for internal Customers
Troubleshoot and problem-solve testing/segmentation implementation within a Content Management System.
Apply best practices with regard to search engine optimization.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:



High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Web design/development, Art/Design, or Advertising/Marketing preferred or equivalent commercial experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

2-3 years’ experience in graphic design including front-end development is required.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:





2 years’ experience working in a corporate marketing, ad agency, or digital marketing firm is preferred.
Experience using HTML and CSS to create web pages is required.
Experience with Browser/Email compatibility and Javascript is preferred.
Proficiency with various software packages including, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver is required.
Experience with Mac/PC system and network setup is preferred.
Experience using a Content Management System is required.
Experience using Quickbase, Interwoven/Teamsite, Omniture, Adobe Target, Responsys, and responsive design is preferred.
Experience prioritizing and executing requests from multiple clients with great attention to detail is required.

Must be able to work well with others as part of a Team.



Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be available to work some afterhours duty.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
