The Role

This position manages a portfolio of key customers in the North America Leisure/ Trade or Corporate sector as defined under a specific portfolio of accounts. Work to maximise revenue, increase yield, retain existing business and develop new business opportunities. Understand the customer strategy, and develop a strong, robust relationship with the customer.

You will be responsible for:

Implement North America strategy and priorities which align with international and global sales;
Evaluate and maximise all new distribution and revenue opportunities within the defined portfolio;
Develop and implement initiatives for revenue generation, inline with North America market strategies;
Report and act on market intelligence that will impact on Qantas revenue;
Plan, create and deliver all required training to front line consultants and managers for all accounts within the portfolio;
Plan and manage sales & marketing activities for accounts and ensure alignment of account activities with regional sales and marketing strategies;
Manage all phases of account management including deal development and negotiation, planning and execution;
Working within stipulated budges, ensure that activities are effective in assisting to meet targets
Meeting and exceeding revenue and cost of sales targets
Ensuring regulatory compliance with North America and Australian laws and standard where appropriate

Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will display:

Selling, account management and business planning skills
Strong commercial orientation and a solid level of business acumen
Confident negotiation, communication, organisational and leadership skills
Solid knowledge and awareness of the North American airline and travel industry
High level of It literacy, including a good knowledge of MS office, high level knowledge of QUEST
Qualification in a related field would be highly regarded
