Generalists with HR experience, are you ready to step up to a new and exciting challenge? Your new position as Senior Consultant Human Resources based in Sydney, will see you supporting the Qantas business as they work through significant transformation alongside BAU operations.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will work within the HR team, developing and implementing HR initiatives as well as providing high quality coaching and advice to the business.
You will be responsible for:
Providing strategic HR expertise to support the transformation agenda
Design and implementation of initiatives to support the delivery of the HR/business unit strategy that aligns with business objectives and culture
Identification of local business issues/trends and design of appropriate solutions in consultation with HR colleagues where appropriate
Provision of expert advice and coaching on people related matters
Supporting management and supervisors in implementing business change initiatives ensuring application of appropriate change management philosophies
Coordination of talent identification process and succession discussions to build capability for now and in the future
Engaging in employee relations issues and working with the Human Resources Manager to engage legal advice where necessary and appropriate
Leveraging your superior organisational knowledge, of both people and processes, to support the businesses in delivering their objectives
Requirements:
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent experience
3-5 years experience in HR or relevant discipline
Experience in contributing to and implementing HR/Business Unit strategies
Exposure to EBA’s and industrial agreements, couple with a demonstrated ability to rapidly learn, understand and apply legislative and compliance requirements
Project management skills
Demonstrated coaching and influencing skills
Change or transformation management experience
Superior written and verbal communication skills with proven ability in developing communication plans and strategies
Well-developed analytical skills on business and people matters
A high level of self-motivation, initiative, adaptability and resilience
