Your new position as Manager, Investments Operations encompasses responsibility for the day-to-day investment operations of the Qantas Superannuation Plan, including monitoring of key investment operational risk and compliance processes plus the monitoring of external vendor service level agreements. Reporting to the Head of Operations this role will see you undertaking specific projects to streamline processes and create efficiencies that are critical to the ongoing success of the Plan.
You will be responsible for:

Day to day responsibility of all investment operations tasks, including reviewing of unit prices and investment instructions
Managing relationships with relevant personnel within key outsourced service providers including the Custodian and Investment Managers
Project management and delivery of both long term strategic and short term tactical initiatives
Monitor and review service provider deliverables, such as unit pricing and performance reporting
Enhance and implement all relevant procedures for investment operations, risk and compliance activities
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements

Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will display:

Extensive experience within Investment Management,Custody or Funds Administration organisation
Business related degree with post graduate investment related studies highly regarded
Proven track record of managing outsourced service providers and “C” Level Stakeholders
Demonstrated maturity to effectively consult with both internal and external parties with a view to influencing business thinking andadding value to the business
Extensive knowledge of support function interdependencies and risk considerations within a superannuation fund
Excellent understanding of the current regulatory environment and insight into the Australian Financial Services industry
Knowledge of accounting practices highly regarded
Unit trust administration experience highly regarded
Strong analytical thinking style with a capacity to challenge conventional wisdom in a positive and professional manner
