Job Description



Develop deep domain knowledge on the Engineering applications (running on SAP and Non-SAP technology platforms).
Provide application support which will include defining/reviewing business requirement for enhancements and taking responsibility of system integration, testing and resolution of incidents reported for the systems under your charge.
Develop project management skills and participate actively in planning, scheduling, and implementing projects assigned to you.
Manage enhancement in Engineering applications.
Manage vendors to ensure they provide efficient maintenance support and smooth running of Engineering applications.
Monitor and track the resolution of problems reported and enhancements to ensure vendors provide a satisfactory service level in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Minimise the risk of outsourcing in application maintenance by overseeing the security and control issues for program loads and data patching.
Manage escalated issues raised by business users and provide advice / guidance to users.
Provide SME advice on applications, when required.
Work with vendors to plan and execute security patching, software version control and maintain application road-map.
Conduct regular review of application portfolio and technical landscape to identify redundancy and operational inefficiency and to recommend and implement alternate solutions.
Track and identify feasible airline IT applications and technologies for potential adoption by business.

Requirements:

You should possess a degree in Information Technology or related fields. Experience in SDLC and major projects, and technical experience with SAP MRO/Logistic and/or J2EE technology running on JBose/Weblogic platforms is preferred. You should have strong analytical, project management, communications and interpersonal skills.
