About the Job
The purpose of this role is to manage and monitor Air Arabia aircraft Engines & APUs so as to ensure their safety, reliability and a cost-effective operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor Air Arabia's powerplants fitted to its fleet of A320s with the objective of optimizing and efficiently managing the operating cost of the fleet powerplant.
Monitoring of mandatory modification and reviewing the Service Bulletins and AD's applicable to the ABY fleet and by recommendation of any other approved contracted service provider.
Review and communicate the engine work scope for overhaul and repair.
Monitor performance of overhaul agents and suppliers.
Continuous review of Engine/APU spares and communicate requirements and recommendations to Material Management.
Assist and communicate trouble shooting requirements with MCC and manufacturers.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
Preferably a Mechanical Engineering Graduate with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Engine Development.
On-hand experience in powerplant and engine development work especially on CFM56/5B & APIC APU.
Needs to be familiar with engines work scoping and engine shop visit planning. Exposure in dealing with engine manufacturers.
Excellent command of both verbal and written English skills. Spoken and written Arabic would be an advantage.
