A vacancy exists for a talented Project Manager within Qantas Superannuation. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer this role will be accountable for managing risk across a portfolio of projects and for supporting the Qantas Super Executive office team and their service providers implement enhancements that benefit Qantas Super Members.
Working closely with the wider Qantas Superannuation team, your new role as Project Manager will provide project management supports whilst ensuring that progress against planned projects is reported accurately and fully to the Qantas Super Board, and that key risks and issues are fully understood and addressed as required.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Carry out all key project management activity and management of additional resources as necessary to ensure project delivery
Application of project management approaches and methodologies to track the delivery of projects against agreed milestones
Partner with the Qantas Superannuation leadership team to identify, manage and track project risks
Adapt appropriate project management methodologies for use in relation to Qantas Super projects, adapting as necessary from formal project methodologies
Provide advice, guidance and expertise to the Qantas Super team on applying project management methodologies to sourcing activities
You will lead regular project management meetings and follow up activities with the relevant senior stakeholders including the COO and CEO and senior executives in service providers
To develop capability of project management skill within Qantas Super
Track and report on the progress to the leadership team and Board against plan of all planned Qantas Super projects
Work with the wider Qantas Super team to identify, track and actively mitigate project risks
Requirements:
What you’ll bring to the role:
Demonstrated prior success in a similar position
Relevant degree qualification
Additional qualifications in a project management discipline, such as Prince 2
3 – 5 years’ experience in a project management role
Advanced influencing, communication and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to build effective business relationships with diverse groups of people
Ability to influence at all levels within the business
Strong leadership skills with demonstrable ability in delivering outcomes in a time sensitive environment
Previous experience within implementing and managing change across various departments
