The job requirements are to take responsibility for supporting all Commercial business areas by participating in requirement analysis/gathering session with IT and assisting in creating business requirements, SOW reviews and conducting the final testing of the system/linked systems before the roll out.

Job Outline·


Use operational and applications expertise and inputs from users to recommend initiatives where Emirate IT could add value to Commercial functions, processes and/or applications. Present such initiatives through the Business Support team, for obtaining the decision of Commerical.
Collate, analyze and define functional and non-functional requirements for assigned projects and enhancements. Identify and evaluate conflicting requirements and suggest practical solutions to achieve the customer targets.
Provide all assistance to the Project Manager/project team on application support, impact analysis, functional requirement documentations, and user acceptance testing, as assigned.
Verify the solution designs and ensure that the solution meets functional and non-functional requirements for projects and enhancements.
Define and co-ordinate the creation of test cases based on user requirements. Co-ordinate the set-up and communication between the application/product and the partner’s system to support the testing of application functionality and linked systems.
Create test packs for application changes, including enhancements and new releases. Carry out user acceptance testing prior and provide documentation of results to Systems Manager prior to roll out. Document results and subsequent enhancement requests and recommendations.
Manage the User Acceptance test and Commercial documentation. Ensure quality of testing along with the related documentation meets Commercial standards. Provide specific feedback to solution provider for discrepancies, track progress of fixes and follow up with the solution provider till completion. Provide updates and feedback on all assigned activities to Systems Manager on a regular basis (weekly).
Ensure that the customers' training department, end user communities and any other identified customers are informed in advance of the new functionality being introduced, to allow for end user education and familiarization prior to it's release. Provide internal training for Commercial work areas if required.
Act as support for the end user community on functional clarifications. Support users on all functional queries; provide workarounds for application functionality to ensure uninterrupted operation. Participate in implementation support of enhancements and projects. Support Commercial in facilitating effective usage of the system in the business area/customer points
Work with standards and procedures to ensure automation and procedures remain in synch and create new procedures as driven by automation if necessary.
Verify the solution designs and ensure that the solution meets functional and non-functional requirements for projects and enhancements.
Serve as subject matter expert for assigned functional domain. Participate in process design documentation, process mapping, and business process testing.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience


Honours Degree
5 years + airline commercial/operations experience in a function that is supported by PSS such as Reservations, Inventory and Availability, Fares & Ticketing, Airport Operations or Customer and Loyalty, of which at least 3 years should be in a related systems/assigned business functional domain area.
Holistic knowledge of all business systems including MACS, MARS, Gui, Opera, Zeus..etc.
Excellent Interpersonal skills and maintain a good relationship with all parties.
Business domain knowledge (In depth and detailed knowledge of the application and/or another leading similar systems and related industry as well as of Industry standards, regulations and resolutions for the designated application).
Strong analytical ability with diagnostic and problem solving skills.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Understanding of software development cycle and previous user acceptance/business process testing experience
Experience with automated testing tools preferred.
Excellent communication and strong proficiency in English.
