Your new role will give you the opportunity to make a real impact on one of the country’s leading e-commerce properties. The role will see you responsible for the ownership, development and operation of the Qantas digital merchandising strategy and its implementation across all Qantas airlines markets. This key strategic function is instrumental in the creation of a lean team and digital merchandising strategy that will increase direct online revenue across all channels (desktop, tablet, mobile and wearables) and drive incremental revenue and channel shift. In addition, you will play a key strategic role in actively developing relationships across Marketing and Revenue Management to increase our digital sales revenue.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Leading the development and ongoing implementation of the Qantas Airlines digital merchandising strategy
Developing and implementing the operating model that drives incremental revenue from digital traffic to qantas.com online and mobile
Ensuring the use of best practice technology, techniques and processes
Continually driving innovation in digital merchandising to optimise content and creative to deliver increased conversion through digital commerce channels. This includes setting up and executing on ongoing programs of multi variate testing
Consulting with and supporting cross functional teams (Advertising, Social Media, Qantas Direct, Qantas Frequent Flyer) on all digital sales initiatives
Creating revenue generating opportunities through linked online, digital and mobile channels
Working closely with Qantas Marketing and Revenue Management , both domestic and International, to maximise revenue from traffic conversion and increased basket value
Requirements:
What you’ll bring to the role:
Tertiary qualifications in Digital or Data Marketing, Technology, Behavioural economics, Psychology or related area
Experience in strategy development and implementation
Experience with lean methodologies, including Agile
Extensive experience in the digital merchandising area; including Search, digital media, mobility, and ecommerce
Experience in development of digital content
Strong decision making skills, with ability to manage ramifications of decisions and drive strategic outcomes
Demonstrated ability to deliver results within a complex business environment with varying stakeholder needs and expectations
Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate at a senior level
Strong facilitation and relationship management skills coupled with strategic competencies
Proven strong analytical skills with the ability to handle complexity, and think broadly, with attention to detail
Well-developed communication, inter-personal, and presentation skills
High level of computer literacy and proficiency in company approved software and applications
