The Senior Manager Internal Communications will report to the Executive Manager of Corporate Affairs and manage the overall delivery of internal communications for Qantas International and several key Corporate centres to effectively share information to drive staff engagement and performance.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Develop and execute the strategy for communicating key messages to internal audiences
Provide high-level strategic communications advice to senior leaders regarding the communication requirements of their businesses
Lead a small team of communications professionals, with three direct reports
Build and maintain strong relationships with key managers across the business to ensure knowledge of business activities and issues
Provide support and guidance when required more broadly across the Group, for example issues management and events

Requirements:

What you’ll bring to the role:

Demonstrated success in a similar role in a large complex organisation
The ability to effectively lead and motivate a high performing team
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
An ability to influence, understand and communicate effectively with a diverse and highly engaged workforce
Sound judgement skills and decision making ability
Tertiary qualifications in Communications or a similar discipline
