As a Management Accountant - Decision Support your work will see you reporting to the Finance Manager within the Centre of Finance Excellence (CoFE) and providing financial expertise to Business Unit Finance through the delivery of finance analytics and reporting. This role will support the Decision Support team to deliver Management Accounting services in key areas including:

Business Performance results evaluation including commentary
Insights and recommendations
Complex financial modelling and robust testing of assumptions to support development of business cases including scenario and sensitivity analysis
Key performance metrics analysis including key driver impacts on the business and Provision of external analysis such as bench-marking and competitor analysis

Your main responsibilities will include:

Aggregating and reviewing business unit results, using in depth business knowledge to provide insight, commentary and analysis
Monthly and quarterly management reporting for relevant Business Units and Group Finance including the coordination of dashboard reports, non-standard reports and performance commentary
Supporting and assisting with providing guidance to the finance community for periodic budgets, forecasting and statutory reporting processes, whilst ensuring a sound financial control and governance framework is maintained across the business
Maintain relationships with Business Unit Finance teams, complete requests and manage competing priorities within Decision Support to ensure excellent customer service is delivered
Maintain relationships with Systems & Insights to ensure transparency of P&L impacts to International & Domestic route profitability, to review business unit results and provide insight to support ad hoc problem solving for HPCM

Requirements:

What you’ll bring to the role:

Professional accounting qualifications and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or CPA Australia
Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver clear financial analysis and advice to management and business partners
Extensive exposure to forecasting and budgeting process
Process improvement focus with ability to adapt to and committed to continuous improvement
Commercial orientation and with ability to manage customer expectations
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management both verbally and in writing
Highly motivated with ability to manage customer expectations and work under time pressure with limited supervision
Strong PC skills, including Essbase, Oracle, Excel and Powerpoint
