Description:

This position supports the Flight Operations division of Delta.

Job Summary: Performs maintenance functions of Full Flight Simulators, Flight Training Devices, Cockpit Procedure Trainers, and associated support devices in order to meet the requirements of the Pilot and Maintenance Training Departments. Troubleshoots electronic, hydraulic, visual, pneumatic and mechanical systems. Installs, replaces, cleans, and services various equipment including visual generation/display systems, motion systems, electronic circuit boards, computers, and circuits. Maintains SEL, SPX, EP, PC, Motorola, IBM, and various other host and satellite computers. Perform periodic maintenance and diagnostics on computer and peripheral equipment. Operates and maintains electronic test equipment. Accomplishes software archiving functions. Utilizes simulator software utilities to troubleshoot simulator system discrepancies. Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Requirements:

Job Qualifications: Must be able to read and interpret electronic/electrical drawings, schematics, and logic diagrams. Requires experience in operation of electronic test equipment in order to identify and correct malfunctioning systems. Formal relative technical electronics training or equivalent military training required. Familiarity with aircraft systems desirable. Should understand aerodynamics and possess a general understanding of commercial cockpit instrumentation and their relationship to the principles of flight. Must have the physical ability to climb and work from platforms and ladders and lift 50 pounds. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays. Must furnish personal tools as prescribed by Delta.

Additionally, to qualify for this position, you must:

-Have a valid driver's license.
-Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
-Be at least 18 years of age.
-Pass an extensive background check and drug screen.
-Be authorized to work in the US.
-Be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
