Based within our Qantas Loyalty division, the Manager Strategy will work closely with Senior Management to identify, evaluate and articulate strategic objectives and opportunities within the Loyalty segment. You will discuss and agree strategy proposals and business plans, report on progress, and present analysis and findings.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Manage project workplans and deliverables
Prepare and deliver presentations to senior executive management
Check accuracy and credibility of data sources and results
Scope the objectives, issues, tasks, deliverables and timelines of each projects
Utilise and apply a thorough knowledge of Group-wide and industry data sources to source relevant data
Make implementable recommendations based on analysis that display strong strategic focus, initiative and broad industry understanding
Ensure all relevant considerations are included and robust output is produced with practical strategic recommendations
Conduct industry, market and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities or threats for the Group
Proactively build, develop and maintain relationships with key external parties.


What you’ll bring to the role:

Business related degree or relevant tertiary qualification, ideally with post graduate qualifications such as MBA
Experience in management/strategy consulting
Superior strategic development, financial, communications and project management skills
Ability and confidence to quickly identify key opportunities and issues in any business, and develop strategies or plans to capitalise on these opportunities or resolve issues
Thorough understanding of strategic evaluation and financial evaluation techniques
Experience in leading project teams
Ability to influence positive outcomes at a senior level
