Your new position as the Qantas Commercial Analyst will see you leading the development, communication and utilisation of commercial insights reporting for New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. This region plays a crucial role the Qantas network and is entering an exciting period as it continues to strengthen its place in the market. Your main responsibilities will include:

Lead the development of high quality, accurate analysis and communicate the findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
Working closely with Sales Managers to communicate sales performance effectively to the Sales Teams to enable them to focus on revenue generating opportunities
Undertake commercial analysis to analyse market dynamics to help develop tailored strategies for market growth opportunities including distribution model alternatives & consistent analysis of pricing and sales activity outcomes
Drive development and efficiencies in commercial reporting across the region

Requirements:

What you’ll bring to the role:

2 -5 years’ relevant experience
Strong analytical skills and experience in a data driven role
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
The ability to influence outcomes and adapt communications (written and verbal) to suit the needs/understanding of the audience
Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with excellent written, verbal communication and administrative skills
Self-motivation with an ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines, with demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
Proven ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team – be self-motivated, proactive and able to deal with ambiguity
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations and resolve conflict
Initiative and sound judgement when required to make decisions; experience in using discretion and maintaining confidentiality
Knowledge or experience in GDS pricing systems, MIDAS and other market share tool and TRAMS revenue desired
