Description:
The Sr. Project Manager of Inventory Systems and Analytics is responsible for the design, development and optimization of the inventory support systems and analytics in support of the Material Planning organization. The Sr. Project Manager will develop actionable analytics for strategic corporate initiatives focused on key performance indicators and aircraft reliability metrics used to drive world class maintenance asset/materials standards. Additionally, the Sr. Project Manager will lead a team of technical analysts to provide techinical support and project management expertise in the specification, implementation, integration, and optimization of cross-divisional decision support systems and business intelligence tools.
Overall responsibility for inventory support systems and analytics critical to the accurate and timely measurement of material & airline performance. Ensures efficient, safe, and compliant daily Material operations. Must possess, create and implement a strategic vision to improve quality, efficiency, and competitiveness of material services. Supports world class asset/materials standards. Achieve expertise in existing systems through enhancements and improvements, direct problem identification and troubleshooting, and lead in developing next-generation decision support, analytics and process improvements. Technical operations experience highly preferred.
Key areas of focus include:
TechOps Material Support Process Development & Automation - Develop and implement necessary processes to facilitate timely and accurate data and reporting, including TechOps enterprise data warehouse (EDW) summary table environment, TechOps Materials Dashboard maintenance and enhancements, legacy report automation, next-generation reporting needs. Provide project management and lead developer expertise in the development and enhancement of decision support systems.
Next-generation TechOps Material Reporting - Partner in developing evolutionary and revolutionary material tools, methods and processes to insure leadership and frontline is informed at all times.
All information and analysis to be shared and delivered cross-divisionally in a timely manner with a high degree of professionalism, timeliness and accuracy. Must also perform mission-critical business and data analysis with minimal supervision. Practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Travel may be required.
Provide leadership, training and mentoring to team members and user groups to insure TechOps key knowledge processes, skill sets and capabilities are maintained, documented and perpetuated long term.
Support inventory requirements planning for network fleet changes, MRO services, reliability and finance.
Timely ramp up or draw down in line with fleet growth or shrinkage respectively
Prepare and manage inventory plan and capital budgets for asset inventory.
Develop and maintain a solid understanding of inventory systems used to manage inventory levels.
Ability to evaluate and recommend material system changes and adjust as needed.
Should have experience working with project analysis, development, implementation and support. Must possess strong technical, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. Must perform with a high level of accuracy. Should have excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication and presentation skills. Should be flexible in managing/coping with change in direction and priorities. Should be able to lead cross-divisional project teams, handle multiple assignments simultaneously and work in a time sensitive environment. Strong knowledge of airline planning and operations is required with emphasis on operational intricacies. Must be able to work in a fast paced team environment with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related field required; MBA Preferred
Must possess strong analytical, strategic, presentation, business, finance, and organizational acumen
Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as written and oral communications
Proven budgetary planning experience is required
Six Sigma/ Lean experience, Product Launch experience.
Demonstrated experience using financial metrics to develop business plans and operating plans is preferred
Training and experience in project management, process optimization, change management, facilitation and internal/external consulting is highly preferred; PMP Certification preferred
