The Principal Analyst is responsible for providing complete supplier performance oversight of cabin service providers and support the Supply Chain business to maximise benefit to Qantas. The position will require the Analyst to identify, lead and participate in departmental projects focused on business improvement.
To ensure the business meets the requirements of its customers, the Analyst may also take responsibility for work areas outside of Contract Management and be accountable for decisions that have significant impact on the day to day operation of the airline. The analyst will be required to review and provide recommendations on project, operational and financial issues ensuring visibility of supplier performance to the business.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Working with Category Specialists and Category Managers to formulate effective and workable contracts maximising the benefits to Qantas
Monitor contracts for external Cabin Services Suppliers to ensure they are effectively managed to maximise QF’s entitlements as defined in these contracts
Support the administration and execution of all Cabin Services Supplier Contracts
Review and provide recommendations on all supplier contract amendments, including side letters and associated documentation
Manage and contribute to commodity strategies, taking ownership of business objectives
Take an active role in delivering commodity based projects
Develop, maintain and distribute records of supplier performance and KPI reports
Interface with Commodity Managers/Controllers and key stakeholders to ensure that any information is managed appropriately
Review and provide recommendations to the Commodity Manager on all supplier invoices, pricing model amendments and variations to budget including GSV and cashflow analysis
Responsible for the continual review of procedures and user guides that relate to Contract Management
Review, analysis and providing recommendations related to all audit findings assigned to Contract Management.
Requirements:
What you’ll bring to the role:
Extensive experience in an Analytical role, preferably in a Supply Chain or Materials/Logistics field
Demonstrable experience in a range of computer systems, especially MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Access
Knowledge of COGNOS and Qantas' business systems such as Supply, CAMEO and Mxi would also be highly regarded
Experience in the development of both detailed business cases and presentations to varying levels of Management
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to network with key stakeholders to develop positive and collaborative relationships
Detailed understanding of business cost drivers and KPI’s
Able to design, build and critically evaluate KPI data and outcomes
Able to influence, negotiate and present to achieve desired targets
Exceptional attention to detail
Outstanding time management skills and ability to manage multiple issues concurrently.
