Your new role will see you responsible for leading the workforce planning function for Qantas airports in Australia. You will lead the team responsible for the generation of seasonal operating plans and rosters for airport staff across the country, and will create and execute plans to support our partners’ strategic agendas.
Critical to your success will be your ability to engage, empower and develop your team as a leader to deliver the outcomes required as well as the ability to build lasting influential relationships with the various stakeholders.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Leadership and development of the airports planning team
Delivery of a best practice workforce planning process which supports the achievement of our partners’ objectives, including:
Ensuring that Qantas safety culture is reflected in rostering principles
Delivery of workforce optimisation initiatives to meet our transformation target
Improve employee engagement through rosters and the implementation of measures to increase work flexibility from the employee’s perspectiv
Provide rostering solutions that appropriately balance efficiency with operational performance and customer satisfaction
Identify and drive further improvement opportunities beyond the current pipeline
Build on the partnership between Workforce Planning and our stakeholders to enable the delivery of best for group outcomes
Lead the airport stream of network optimisation activity by providing insight and options to maximise return
Develop and implement improvements to the airport planning processes in order to increase efficiency and improve responsiveness
Reporting on key workforce insights to airport leadership and the Domestic Customer Experience Senior Leadership Team
Partner with the airports and IR on EBA/industrial instruments
Requirements:
To be successful you will possess:
A proven track record in leading and developing successful teams
Strong business partnering skills that can be used at all levels of the organisation
A strong analytical background preferably with experience in manpower forecasting and planning
Understanding of the industrial agreements that apply to the Qantas airport workforces
Experience with change management and business improvement in an operational environment
Understanding of operational processes
Strong organisation skills, with a the ability to effectively prioritise
The ability to undertake domestic travel as required
