The Automation Tester reports to the Portfolio QA Manager and will work closely with QA Leads in identifying the automation scope and ensuring tests integrate with the continuous integration tools for deployment. As part of an innovative team experimenting with cutting edge technology the Test Automation Specialist is key to the evolution of our testing framework as we shift from being predominantly manual to an automated environment designing, developing and maintaining scripts and tools within the guidelines of our Agile framework.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Participate in Scrum activities including, daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, backlog refinement, release planning sessions, sprint retrospectives and showcases
Supports the Product Owner, especially with respect to ensuring the high priority business workflows are automated
Adhere to the self-managing culture within responsible Scrum Teams
Champion the use of agile, ensuring the principles, practices and tools are understood and used to maximum value
Develop and execute a cross platform mobile and web automation solution
Ensure maximum test coverage for priority business workflows
Review and correct any tests that are not functioning correctly
Report on code coverage
Report on production and test environment service availability
Contribute to the overall quality of deliverables across automation, in the areas pertaining to functional and non-functional including performance and load
Contribute to the overall Test Automation Strategy.

Requirements:

What you’ll bring to the role:

Proven experience as an Automation Specialist working on complex projects
Experience in test scripts, being able to understand and translate testing strategy into practice
Strong experience in advanced Agile environments - user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, cross-functional teams delivering within a continuous integration framework
Knowledge of Test Driven Development and Acceptance Test Driven Development
Expertise in SOAP UI
Expertise in the use of continuous integration tools such as Bamboo and Jenkins
Expertise with Selenium Webdriver and Appium
Experience with performance tools such as JMeter is preferable
C# or Javascript
Proficient in JIRA and the Agile add on for Story and Feature documenting bug and issue tracking
Proficient in Zephyr for test management activities
ISQTB certification
Proven experience with Automation using open source tools
Experience setting up Automation Frameworks
Extensive experience working in a Digital environment
iOS and Android
Experience working across all automated test levels; Unit, Integration and UI
