Ryanair is Europe’s favourite airline, operating more than 1,800 daily flights from 84 bases, connecting 195 destinations in 31 countries and operating a fleet of more than 350 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Ryanair has recently announced firm orders for a further 283 new Boeing 737 aircraft, as well as options for 100 more Boeing 737 MAX 200s, which will enable Ryanair to lower fares and grow traffic from 104m this year to 160m p.a. in 2024. Ryanair currently has a team of more than 9,500 highly skilled aviation professionals, and has an industry leading 30-year safety record.


The Role

Ryanair is looking to hire a Deputy Director, Ancillary Revenue to join our team at the most exciting time in its development. The successful candidate for this role will be report to the Director Of Ancillary Revenue, based in our Corporate Head Office, Dublin Airport.

Results oriented, you will be responsible for achieving profit goals through a combination of growing existing Partnerships, and delivering new profit sources, it is key to be exceptionally commercial and ‘on top of the numbers’.

The right individual will be highly organised and effective, possessing excellent communication and teamwork skills, with an innate ability to get things done. Key relationships will be with industry leading Digital, IT, Marketing, CRM & Legal teams, in addition to ensuring best practice is delivered with partners and agencies.

Ideally from the Travel, FMCG, Financial Services, Media or Online sector, a real self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and with ownership for considerable revenues, this role will be to join a department at the heart of the action, in an airline that is behind this activity like no other in the business.

No shortage of ambition, and ability to deliver is required for this role. With the success of the Always Getting Better campaign, and the considerable resources of Ryanair Labs, we aim to become Europe’s number 1 travel retailing business, with E-Commerce and Digital driving our results to new heights. You will need to be digitally savvy, understand marketing best practices, as well as being able to extract maximum value from media, advertising and brand assets to generate further profits.

Requirements:

Duties & Responsibilities

Meet and exceed profit targets
Maximise profits from existing product propositions
Deliver innovative new profit sources from new propositions and partnerships
Seek out and deliver market leading customer propositions
Effectively manage contract delivery through multiple partnerships
Apply good account management and business development processes are in place
Regularly report on performance and ensure plans are in place to close gaps or over achieve as appropriate
5 – 10 yrs experience in a relevant sector such as Travel, FMCG, Financial Services, Media or Online Retailing
Excellent prioritisation skills, instinctive ability to know what to focus on to deliver
Degree level or similar required
Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and interpersonal skills
Excellent business case presentation skills, highly numerate, Excel, PowerPoint proficient etc
Fluent English and a second European language advantageous
