As the Senior Finance Analyst, you will be an integral part of the Qantas Assure Finance team and responsible for supporting the Commercial Manager to establish and maintain an effective reporting and governance framework for Qantas Assure. This will include providing reporting and analysis to the leadership team, partnering to set the strategy and the development of the Qantas Assure business.

There is a hands on and detail focussed element to the role which will give you the opportunity to set up and drive financial processes within a start-up environment. You will own parts of the reporting cycle, drive month end and day to day delivery and work on business projects that arise. You will have the support of the team Finance Analyst and while not a direct report, you will have the opportunity to coach and develop as a senior team member.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role you will need to display the following:

Must be CA/CPA qualified with relevant tertiary accounting qualifications

Prior experience in an accounting and finance role with strong financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting experience

Experience and demonstrated understanding of insurance or financial services industry is desirable

Prior experience managing complex finance processes and delivering management and statutory reporting requirements within a publicly listed company

Prior experience developing financial models and scenario analysis showing advanced Excel skills

Prior involvement in business projects with experience in financial analysis of business development opportunities and support in building business cases

Prior management accounting experience and partnering with a business around performance reporting and analysis.
Prior experience producing executive level reporting and proven ability to interpret and discuss financial results with these stakeholders
